Cozaar - MSD) is the first of a new class of antihypertensive drug, the angiotensin II receptor blockers. The drug, which is available in tablet form, has been launched with the claim that it is "the antihypertensive for the '90s and beyond" with "a lower incidence of side effects than (is) usually associated with other antihypertensives".
