Managing osteoporosis
Osteoporosis is common and frequently leads to fractures, deformity, pain and disability. It particularly affects the femur, vertebrae, radius and ulna and is the underlying cause of about 150 000 fractures in the UK each year.1 Here we review its prevention and treatment.
