Should H. pylori be eradicated in non-ulcer dyspepsia?

Around half of patients with dyspepsia have no abnormal findings on endoscopy ('non-ulcer dyspepsia') yet, of these, 55% have Helicobacter pylori infection of the gastric mucosa.1 The eradication of H. pylori infection cures most patients with duodenal and gastric ulcer. Here, we discuss whether H. pylori eradication cures patients with non-ulcer dyspepsia.
