Abstract

Antibacterial eyedrops are widely used in the treatment and prevention of superficial infections of the eye, conjunctivitis and keratitis. The choice of drug depends initially on the clinical diagnosis; a bacteriological diagnosis becomes essential if the response to the initial treatment is inadequate.
