Abstract

This new Consumer Publication explains in simple language, mainly for the benefit of the patient and his relatives, the various possible methods of treatment, both physical and psychological, which he might receive in the course of his illness, either as an inpatient or outpatient. It also gives details of relevant aspects of aftercare and community care offered by hospital, local authority social services and voluntary organisations. The book should save doctors a lot of time. It costs 75p and is available from Consumers’ Association.
