Preparations of penicillamine (April 13, 1973, p. 31)

Abstract

Our statement on the relative potency of the amino acid base and the hydrochloride was misleading. Preparations containing 250 mg of the amino acid base have twice the activity of the 150 mg capsules of the hydrochloride. The base is not twice as potent, weight for weight, as the article implied.
