Abstract

We tested 5 brands of reusable needles: Star and Vim of orthodox design, and three others - Glydin, Lancet and Diapoint - with differently shaped needle-points which are claimed to be sharper and longer-lasting. Like disposable needles, reusable ones must be sharp and strong with a well-designed mount; in addition they must withstand sterilisation. We did the tests described in Part 1 (disposable needles), and used 125 size No. 12 needles.
