Abstract

Two new preparations have been introduced for enteral feeding - Nutrauxil (KabiVitrum) and Nutranel (Roussel). This article compares them with the preparations we discussed in 1980.¹ Enteral therapy should not rely on ‘standard’ regimens and to meet each patient’s needs one must know the calorie, nitrogen and electrolyte content of each feed.
