What can we expect the label to tell the patient?

Abstract

Patients forget much of what is said to them during a consultation1 but what they are told can usefully be reinforced by also giving them the information in writing.2 For many medicines the only written information provided to patients is on the label. This article examines the adequacy of the current arrangements for the labelling of dispensed medicine.
