Vigabatrin – a new anti-convulsant

Abstract

Vigabatrin (Sabril – Merrell) is a new kind of anti-convulsant marketed last year for the treatment of epilepsy uncontrolled by other drugs. We look at its efficacy and toxicity, and discuss how it should be used in practice.
