Practice synopses
Abstract
In this issue we introduce synopses. Each article on a new and important drug will contain a working summary in the form of a synopsis. Sometimes a synopsis will be included for an older drug if there have been major changes in its usage. As in the accompanying article on epoetin, synopses will appear in distinct ‘Practice Synopsis’ boxes. Clearly synopses cannot be exhaustive; rather, they are offered as a distillation of key practical points to help GPs when they prescribe drug treatments that are new or unfamiliar.
