Caution with disposable soft contact lenses

Abstract

Disposable soft contact lenses (DSCLs) were introduced 5 years ago and already account for approximately 7% of contact lens use in the UK.1 Their manufacturers claim that DSCLs are more convenient and less damaging to the eye than conventional (non-disposable) soft contact lenses. This article discusses their place.
