The second set of data on the uptake of National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) Technology Appraisals (TAs) in England was published by the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) in June 2013;1 it attracted little publicity. The ‘Innovation Scorecard’ was developed in response to a Department of Health report,2 and aims to support and drive NHS compliance with NICE TAs.
