Phototherapy for vitiligo

People with vitiligo should receive at least 6 months of narrowband UV-B (NBUVB) phototherapy before assessing response, the authors of a systematic review and meta-analysis have suggested.1 The authors noted that no comprehensive systematic reviews had been performed to estimate treatment response to phototherapy.
The review included 29 prospective studies with 1,201 participants with generalised or symmetrical vitiligo who received narrowband UV-B (NBUVB) phototherapy for at least 12 weeks.
