Abstract

Prednisolone stearoylglycolate (Sintisone - Carlo Erba) is an ester of prednisolone which according to the manufacturers has a more potent anti-inflammatory effect than other corticosteroids and is practically devoid of untoward effects, causing less pituitary-adrenal suppression, less gastric irritation and less calcium depletion than other compounds.
