Drugs for patients with concurrent anxiety and depression

Abstract

Symptoms of anxiety and depression often occur together in the same patient. In most cases the relation of the two is unclear. The effectiveness of drugs in their treatment must be evaluated by changes in ‘target symptoms’1 as well as by their effects on the whole illness.
