Abstract

Thymoxamine (Opilon-Warner) selectively blocks adrenergic α receptors. It is being promoted for ‘vasospastic or occlusive peripheral ischaemic conditions’, especially Raynaud’s syndrome, chilblains, Ménière’s syndrome, acrocyanosis, erythrocyanosis and excessively cold hands and feet.
