Abstract

A slow release preparation of sodium chloride (Slow Sodium) is now available from the manufacturers. The tablets contain 600 mg sodium chloride (equivalent to 10mEq Na⁺ and Cl⁻) made up in a wax sponge formulation similar to that used for the potassium supplement Slow-K.
