Trichomonacides: nitrimidazine V metronidazole

Abstract

Nitrimidazine (Naxogin; Nulogyl) and metronidazole (Flagyl) are nitro-imidazole derivatives which can be given by mouth to treat vaginal trichomoniasis and acute ulcerative gingivitis due to Vincent’s organism.
