The English community pharmacy, New Medicine Service (NMS), offers support to people who have been newly prescribed a medicine for a long-term condition to help them manage their condition and encourage adherence.¹ It is targeted at people with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension and those prescribed antiplatelet/anticoagulant therapy.
