Abstract

Methoxyflurane (Penthrane - Abbott) is a non-flammable halogenated ethyl methyl ether which has been recently introduced as an inhalation anaesthetic. A detailed discussion of its properties appeared in the Lancet on August 31, 1963 (p. 446).
