The symptomatic treatment of diarrhoea
Abstract
Preparations offered for the symptomatic treatment of diarrhoea contain drugs intended to act on the inflamed intestinal mucosa and on the bowel contents, and opiates and related drugs intended to act on the gut wall. Many mixtures of these drugs are used, and antibacterial drugs are often added as well.
