Isoprenaline and atropine by inhalation

Abstract

Among the advantages of using isoprenaline by inhalation for the symptomatic treatment of bronchial asthma are speed of action, and relative freedom from side effects such as tachycardia. The patient therefore has some immediate control over his condition. Because of its relatively brief action other preparations, isoprenaline with atropine, and orciprenaline, have been developed in the hope that they will give more prolonged relief to the patient with persistent asthma.
