Abstract

Glipizide (Minodiab - Carlo Erba; Glibenese - Pfizer) is a new oral hypoglycaemic sulphonylurea developed in Italy. Like glibenclamide (Daonil, Euglucon), which we discussed last year,1 it is a potent cyclohexylurea derivative claimed to have a low incidence of unwanted effects.
