Abstract

Propranolol (Inderal - ICI), a β-blocking drug, has been successfully used to treat dysrhythmias, angina, hypertension, cardiomyopathies, thyrotoxicosis, essential tremor and anxiety states.¹ Vascular changes are probably important in migraine,² and because propranolol can alter vascular tone it has recently been tried as a prophylactic for this condition.
