Glibornuride - another oral hypoglycaemic agent

Abstract

Glibornuride (Glutril - Roche) was developed in the late ‘sixties and has just been marketed in Britain. Like glibenclamide (Daonil; Euglucon)1 and glipizide (Minodiab; Glibenese)2 it is a ‘second generation’ sulphonylurea which lowers blood glucose when given in smaller doses than earlier sulphonylureas.
