Abstract

Every 2 years when a new edition of the British National Formulary appears, users need to take note of the important additions and deletions but this requires a lot of work. Here we try to explain the main purposes of each of the additions and to comment briefly. However we do not discuss why any of these products deserve inclusion. A BNF page reference is given wherever the BNF notes on a drug are fuller than our comments.
