The management of chronic discoid psoriasis

Abstract

Psoriasis is a chronic and often distressing condition which tends to remit and relapse. Chronic discoid psoriasis is characterised by thick scaly erythematous plaques, especially in the scalp, on extensor surfaces and over elbows, knees and knuckles. Other manifestations of psoriasis such as pustular psoriasis and psoriatic arthropathy are not discussed here.
