Nifedipine (adalat) for angina

Abstract

Nifedipine (Adalat - Bayer) is a recently introduced anti-anginal drug which reduces availability of calcium ions to heart muscle and dilates blood vessels, especially arteries. This combination of properties is new and potentially useful.
