Cefamandole, cefuroxime and cefoxitin

Abstract

Three new parenteral antibiotics have recently been introduced particularly for hospital use. Cefamandole (Kefadol) and cefuroxime (Zinacef) are cephalosporins. Cefoxitin (Mefoxin) is the first in a new class of compounds, the cephamycins.
