Help with sexual difficulties

Abstract

Sexual difficulties are usually psychogenic and often symptomatic of wider psychological problems. Although physical diseases predominate in at least 10% of cases,1 their identification and treatment does not do away with the need for psychosexual counselling. Despair about sexual difficulty from any cause often makes things worse. This article discusses ways of helping to allay such anxiety and improve performance.
