Who is responsible for entries in MIMS?
Abstract
The Monthly Index of Medical Specialities (MIMS),1 which is distributed free to full-time general practitioners and on rotation to selected hospital doctors and consultants, is used extensively to check the dose or strength of proprietary products, or precautions relating to their use.2 Nevertheless, both the publishers of MIMS and the pharmaceutical companies whose products are listed seek to deny responsibility for the accuracy and adequacy of the information printed.
