Abstract

The Monthly Index of Medical Specialities (MIMS),¹ which is distributed free to full-time general practitioners and on rotation to selected hospital doctors and consultants, is used extensively to check the dose or strength of proprietary products, or precautions relating to their use.² Nevertheless, both the publishers of MIMS and the pharmaceutical companies whose products are listed seek to deny responsibility for the accuracy and adequacy of the information printed.
