Abstract

Acebutolol (Sectral), and its major metabolite diacetolol, are now recognised to be cardioselective. It was classified as such in table 1 (p. 62), but should also have been considered alongside the other cardioselective agents atenolol and metoprolol in the main text and the conclusion.
