Capla and the treatment of hypertension

Abstract

Wallace Laboratories have recently introduced a number of preparations in Britain which have for some time been available in the U. S. (see MIMS, January, 1964). Mebutamate (Capla - Wallace) is one of these. It is closely related to meprobamate, and is intended for the treatment of mild hypertension. It has not however been shown that the use of any hypotensive drug improves the prognosis in mild hypertension.
