Abstract

Steri-Strip (3MCo) is a sterile adhesive rayon tape offered for the closure of skin wounds without sutures. Wetting does not loosen it, and it can be removed without pain. Steri-Strip is micro-porous, so that the covered area is less likely to become moist and macerated. Much exudate will loosen the strip but it can be re-applied. Irritation and skin reactions are uncommon.
