Prescription-only medicines are now identified throughout the book. The table on the addition of drugs to intravenous fluids gives further important detail on the mode of administration. Two completely new and valuable sections concern the use of drugs in pregnancy and during breast-feeding. A last-minute footnote in the index signals the fate of benoxaprofen.
