Two new enteral feeds: nutrauxil and nutranel


Two new preparations have been introduced for enteral feeding - Nutrauxil (KabiVitrum) and Nutranel (Roussel). This article compares them with the preparations we discussed in 1980.1 Enteral therapy should not rely on ‘standard’ regimens and to meet each patient’s needs one must know the calorie, nitrogen and electrolyte content of each feed.
