Abstract

The table comparing the approximate cost of 7 days’ treatment with the antibiotics gave the wrong costs of mezlocillin and carbenicillin. The errors were compounded by price reductions for azlocillin and mezlocillin as we went to press. We now give the current costs (January 1984). These changes do not alter the conclusion of the article.
