Difflam - a topical NSAID

Abstract

Difflam (Riker), a topical anti-inflammatory drug, is marketed for the relief of symptoms of painful inflammatory conditions: the cream (benzydamine 3%) for musculoskeletal conditions such as sprains, and the oral rinse (benzydamine 0.15% in a green liquid*) for pharyngitis and stomatitis. Benzydamine seems to be the only non-salicylate NSAID marketed for topical use, apart from oxyphenbutazone (in Tanderil eye ointment).
