The influence of relapse rate on the choice of duodenal ulcer therapy
Abstract
Histamine-2-receptor blockers (H2 blockers) heal nearly all duodenal ulcers effectively and relieve symptoms rapidly. Maintenance therapy reduces this relapse rate by over half, but at considerable expense.
