▾Buspirone - an alternative drug for anxiety?

Abstract

Buspirone (Buspar - Bristol-Myers) was launched in Britain a year ago as an anxiolytic “as effective as the benzodiazepines in relieving anxiety without impairing psychomotor performance and without evidence of dependence or abuse potential”. It has been used in Germany since 1985 and in the USA since 1987.
