Clonidine in migraine prophylaxis - now obsolete

Abstract

Clonidine (Dixarit - Boehringer) was introduced for migraine prophylaxis in 1969. It is still licensed and marketed for this purpose although several more effective drugs have been available for well over ten years. Does it have a place?
