Abstract

About 15% of boys and 10% of girls aged 5 and about 5% of all 9-year-olds wet their beds¹, to the great misery of the children and their parents. The cause of the trouble is unknown. Most of the children in one study came from stable homes and few of them showed emotional disturbance, leading the investigators to suggest that enuresis is due either to lack of bladder control because of delay in its development or to various physical and psychological factors.²
