Frusemide (lasix)

Abstract

Frusemide (furosemide, INN; Lasix - Hoechst), is a recently introduced diuretic. The sulphamoyl-benzene grouping resembles that of thiazides and chlorthalidone though there are chemical and pharmacological differences.
