Abstract

In 1993 the Drug and Therapeutics Bulletin will hold the first of its annual seminars. Each year we will choose an issue of general concern that we believe will benefit from multidisciplinary debate. The inaugural symposium, which will take place at the Royal College of Physicians, London, on Thursday 11 March, will consider drug costs, examining their influence on prescribing in hospitals and general practice, their relevance to the consumer and their place in determining standards of medical care and the direction of medical research.
