Abstract

Fungal nail infections can make finger and toenails unsightly, thickened and discoloured. They are notoriously difficult to treat. Conventional antifungal creams do not help, and even lengthy systemic treatment, traditionally with griseofulvin, often fails and can cause unwanted effects. We plan to review newer systemic treatments soon.
