Abstract

Since 1st October the routine primary immunisation schedule for infants has included vaccination against Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib). Children under 4 years who have already completed their primary immunisations will also be vaccinated in a ‘catch-up’ programme. We look at the background to the new vaccines.
