▾ Mifepristone/gemeprost to abort early pregnancy

Abstract

Mifepristone (Mifegyne – Roussel), a progesterone antagonist, was licensed in Britain last year. It is used together with the prostaglandin analogue gemeprost (Cervagem – Farillon) to induce abortion of pregnancy of up to 9 weeks’ gestation.
