Which prophylactic aspirin?

Abstract

Low doses of aspirin are now a standard part of the management of patients with thromboembolic disease.1,2 One risk of taking even low doses is bleeding from the gut, and various aspirin formulations are marketed with claims that they reduce this problem. In this article we review the formulations available and consider their relative safety.
