Getting rid of athlete's foot

Abstract

At any one time, around 17% of adults in the UK have athlete's foot.1 While such fungal infection is not usually dangerous, it can cause discomfort, may be resistant to treatment, and may spread to other parts of the body or to other people. Affected feet can also become secondarily infected by bacteria. Here, we review the topical and systemic treatment of athlete's foot.
